In the cleaning sector, skilled staff are everything. Without factors, there are no clean premises.
Carestep was founded out of a need for quality cleaning and a desire to bring good to the world. That's why we are a non-profit organisation, meaning that all our profits are used to train our staff for career advancement.
We only employ permanently, as we believe this is the most sustainable way to operate in the pursuit of genuine and long-lasting value. For example, we employ immigrants, young people and the long-term unemployed - people who need support because there are obstacles to their learning or career progression for one reason or another.
We take it for granted that we only use ecological cleaning products. Caring for the environment is everyone's business. In the future, we want to focus in particular on reducing emissions from transporting. One option is to increase the number of electric cars we use.
Carestep has a strong corporate culture that is reflected in all our activities. This is reflected both in the training we provide to our staff and in our day-to-day work.

Carestep's emissions are monitored through a carbon footprint calculation.
The calculation of carbon emissions for 2022 has been done according to the GHG protocol, covering Scope 1, 2 and 3. Scope 1 and 2 emissions are offset by our parent company Greenstep and are very small in magnitude, as Carestep's premises are on Greenstep's premises. Scope 3 emissions total 1.1 tCO2e and consist of purchased materials, their transport and the transport of staff to the workplace.
The carbon dioxide emissions are equivalent to approximately 0.09 kgCO2e/m2 per m2 of floor area cleaned by Carestep on an annual basis.
A path in the world of work or study can be broken for many reasons - and it can be difficult to get back on track. Carestep exists to give more people the support and tools to build an interesting career. We support our employees in achieving their goals, such as completing a course of study that they have not completed.
The starting point is that you can work with us and at the same time get the support you need to develop yourself: an entrepreneurship workshop, language training or mentoring to complete your studies. In addition to a stable job and a fair salary, our employees receive training, language courses or career guidance according to a personal plan.
