Get to know our team: Feriba

A while ago, we interviewed our employee Feriba when she had just started working at Carestep. Feriba is originally from Afghanistan, where she has previously worked as a teacher, among other things. She has now lived in Finland for almost 30 years.

This is how a happy and energetic Feriba commented on her work at Carestep then:

- I am ready for my shift several hours before the agreed starting time because I am so excited about my work. For a long time now, I have found a job where I enjoy myself wholeheartedly, also thanks to my customers and colleagues," Feriba says happily, glowing like the sun.

Now that it's been almost a year and a half since she's joined Carestep, we asked Feriba how she's doing.

- When I started working at Carestep, I tried to think about what I wanted to study. But I couldn't find a field that felt right for me, so I had the idea of starting my own business.

This year Feriba, who knows the secrets of delicious Afghan food, set up her own catering company, Feriba's Catering, through which you can order catering for various events. Feriba says the business has taken off well and she hopes to grow it in the future.

We asked what advice Feriba would give to others who want to pursue their career dreams.

- My advice is that to get started, you don't necessarily have to find the job you 100% love doing. You have to start somewhere, and that's the only way to get ahead in your career. All work experience leads to progress! I was unemployed for a long time, but after joining Carestep, I found my own thing and started my own business.
