Angelo has been working at Carestep for about a year and a half. He started as a summer substitute, taking care of the cleanliness of our client Visma's facilities, and has since cleaned many of our different locations, including offices, restaurants, and gyms. Now we had the opportunity to interview Angelo – what is his story and how has he enjoyed his time at Carestep?
Angelo, 43, shares that he came to Finland from the Philippines. His family includes a spouse and two children. He spends his free time with family and friends:
"In my free time, I call to my loved ones in the Philippines, rest, and spend time with friends and family here."
In Philippines, Angelo advanced his career in business as well as a police officer.
" I graduated with a Bachelor Degree in Business Management from one of the colleges in the Philippines but changed my career path and worked as a Police Officer for a few years before coming here in Finland," he explains.
Aiming for Finnish Language Studies
Upon arriving in Finland, the language barrier posed a challenge, and Angelo hopes to learn the language better in the future. Our goal is to arrange more language training for our employees.
"I would like to learn Finnish – it would help me improve and communicate softly to other people in terms of work and everyday life.
Angelo mentions that he has enjoyed his work at Carestep.
"I like working here because our employer helps and guides us in our work, and supports us in our personal development. My co-workers are friendly and helpful.”
